Founded in 2019, Calderstone Research is an independent research firm producing category benchmarks, market reports, and methodology primers for institutional investors, procurement leaders, and enterprise operators who require defensible evidence.

Our name reflects a commitment to foundational rigour. Every report begins with a bounded research question, fixed criteria applied before conclusions are drawn, and a transparent disclosure of what we can and cannot verify.

What We Cover

We focus on categories where evidence asymmetry is high: enterprise software, climate-risk analytics, professional services benchmarking, and AI infrastructure. We select categories only when they meet four coverage gating tests: evidence asymmetry, accessible public sources, a bounded research question, and a feasible evaluation framework.

Our Methodology

We combine public documentation review, independent expert interviews, market signal analysis, and structured criteria design. Every report is reviewed by at least one independent PhD-level reviewer before publication. Each claim is classified by evidence strength, and limitations are documented in a dedicated section of every report.

Independence Model

Calderstone Research is funded entirely by subscription revenue. We do not sell placement in our research, and we do not accept sponsorship from entities we cover.
